About Terravation Labs

Terravation Labs was founded in 2025 to help entrepreneurs  access the specialized R&D and commercial resources required to develop technologies that involve geology and the subsurface. This typically applies to the following industries: energy, natural resources and climate transition. Specifically, we serve early (MVP) to later stage (post-revenue) startups in these fields: geology, geophysics, hydrogen, carbon capture and sequestration, natural resources, rare earth minerals, water resources, soil erosion, land degradation, earthquakes, landslides and other environmental processes; as well as the application of artificial intelligence or software to these use cases. Often entrepreneurs in these industries face lengthy technology validation cycles and pilot projects are difficult to garner. Without the proper stewardship and access to specialized R&D resources, this validation curve can destroy valuable time to market and investor capital. Terravation Labs helps collapse this technology development cycle. We  partner with the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas, one of the leading research institutes in geology, in order to leverage their world class R&D resources and technical expertise.
