Tesla NanoCoatings, founded by Todd Hawkins, is a nanotechnology research and development company with a focus on carbon nanotubes (CNTs). For the first time since their discovery in 1991, Tesla NanoCoatings has successfully brought carbon nanotubes out of the lab and into the protective coatings industry where they demonstrate incredible prowess. We offer a “2-coat” corrosion control coating that is an ideal replacement for the traditional “3-coat” zinc-rich epoxy coating systems, thermal sprayed aluminum coatings, or galvanizing. Our full line of CNT products includes high-strength primers and topcoats, steel pit fillers, our award-winning non-skid deck coating, and more. With a tensile strength 50 times greater than that of steel, our carbon nanocoatings provide offshore steel structures with the highest level of impact resistance available today. If their immense strength wasn’t impressive enough, CNTs also serve as incredible conductors of electricity with roughly 1,000 times the conductivity of copper.
