About Texas Inventionworks

Texas Inventionworks accelerates innovation and the creation of innovators with six interconnected initiatives: a curriculum lab for professors; education in design, facbrication and innovation; an innovation accelerator; access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipmen; research partnerships; and engagement with industry. It is where Longhorns from many disciplines can learn and invent, together. And at the heart of the organization is our culture of discovery, collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking and invention. It all started with a 1,700sf room in 2014. Soon, it became a prototype for the system of labs and classrooms that now spans more than 30,000sf in the EERC and ETC buildings. The rooms are organized around the design process and include equipment for creating a wide array of electronics systems and mechanical devices. The program offers training and certification for labs and machines, support for product development and competition teams, and resources for integrated education including the development of complete courses. Stop by or connect with our staff to learn more or to get started on a new project.
