About The African Centre for Women Information and Communication Technology

ACWICT is a Kenyan-based ICT for Development (ICT4D) Organization, registered under the NGO Act 1990 with a mission to promote women and youth access to and knowledge of ICTs as tools for sustainable development. ACWICT works to address challenges faced by high-potential but disadvantaged women and youth, particularly those from urban informal settlements and rural communities, to provide solutions that improve access to employment, education, health, leadership opportunities, and digital innovations for better livelihoods. ACWICT is led by a Chief Executive Officer who oversees the organisation's day-to-day activities and reports to a Board of Directors, and a secretariat with qualified staff in various areas of expertise.
