Founded in 2014 in Haringey, London, Albion Knitting Company has been a pioneer in luxury knitwear production in England for 10 years. Established by Christian Murphy and Jamie O’Neill, Albion continues to lead the knitwear industry with its innovative approach. In 2014 Albion became the first industrial-scale, fully-fashioned flat knitter in London since WWII to provide manufacturing opportunities to luxury brands in the heart of the capital. Ten years on, the expansion of our operations to a new state-of-the-art facility on the Isle of Man, along with the establishment of The London Knitting School, symbolise Albion’s commitment to innovation, quality, and the future of knitwear manufacturing. Our fully renovated 20,000 sq. ft factory is equipped with the latest Stoll, Electrolux and Mentasti machinery and is designed to operate on 85% solar energy. In addition, Albion’s Puro Wash system is estimated to reduce our water consumption by 80% through its microbial water recycling technology. While industrial operations have moved to the Isle of Man, we maintain roots in London with the establishment of The Albion Knitting School, on Naoroji Street in Kings Cross. Accredited by UKFT, the School offers comprehensive training in knitwear skills, including Stoll programming courses, linking, hand sewing, and product development training.
