The Artist and the Others is a young initiative based upon the simple idea of the importance of arts for our society and the benefit of shared knowledge and experiences. The foundation supports young creative makers and non-makers at the beginning of their career in the cultural field. In order to achieve this, The Artist and the Others organises projects for and with them--always with the mission to improve professional skills and expanding their professional network. We assist creative individuals and professionals in the cultural sector by organizing workshops, lectures and other cultural activities that create dialogue, because we strongly believe that a good combination of talent, skill and expertise can expand professional networks and shape artistic futures. This new and dynamic project is an opportunity to create a genuine cultural community in the city where one assists the other by exchanging feedback, ideas, all in order to enrich potentials and help build careers. The Artist and the Others is there to embody this special artistic spirit and stimulate its development through our activities. We can built an interdisciplinary community in the Euregion and as such the project will provide a vital advantage for Maastricht and the region.
