About The BAME Woman in Law

The BAME Woman in Law is a not-for-profit organisation that helps women from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds break into the legal industry. We focus on early-career support that make the legal profession more accessible. Our goal is to break down the barriers that often prevent women from underrepresented backgrounds from entering law and to build a community where they can learn, connect, and grow with confidence. Since launching in 2024, The BAME Woman in Law has grown into a vibrant community of over 2,500 aspiring and early-career legal professionals across the UK. Through our free mentorship programme, workshops, and networking opportunities, we’ve helped hundreds of women from underrepresented backgrounds gain the skills, confidence, and connections needed to begin their legal careers.
