About The Better Coffee Curriculum
The Better Coffee Curriculum The Better Coffee Curriculum is a system of ten equal, non-ranked courses — designed not to hand out formulas, but to teach coffee people how to think. It belongs to The Better Coffee Endeavour: a global movement that connects education, ethics, and cooperation across the entire coffee system. The Curriculum is not a ladder of prestige. It is a circle — a shared table where every role holds value. Courses include: • The School of Percept — sensory fundamentals and perception training • Fermentation Feels — processing science and social dimensions • Compound — chemical and physical structures of coffee • RAW — green coffee, classification, ethics, and market systems • The Profile — roasting and brewing systems, patterns, and philosophy • Coffee Atlas — origins, migration, colonialism, geography, climate • Common Name — an ethical coffee marketing workshop • Two Leaves — business and labor politics for a better paradigm • The Better Coffee Blueprint — system-level critique and redesign • Conversation & Consultation — 30- or 90-minute dialogues on any topic; orientation, critique, and practical guidance (1:1 or small-group). The Curriculum exists both in person and online, with trainers licensed through The Better Coffee Trainer Pathway. Access follows our Pay-It-Forward model: solidarity, sustainable, and supporter tiers ensure inclusion, not exclusion. Learners who complete a course can share it on LinkedIn under The Better Coffee Curriculum — signaling not only skills in coffee, but a commitment to dignity, equality, and sensory justice. This is education as resistance. This is orientation in a collapsing paradigm. This is a compass, not a brand. Read. Think. Act. Learn.
