About The Blue Horizon Initiative

Innovating water solutions, together. The Blue Horizon Initiative is a public–private partnership dedicated to strengthening water security and resilience across Mexico. Bringing Dutch with Mexican expertise, we support sustainable water solutions that respond to pressing challenges such as water scarcity, wastewater treatment, and resilient infrastructure development. Our approach focuses on long-term, context-specific solutions that integrate innovation, sustainability, Nature-Based Solutions, and participatory strategies. By combining international knowledge with Mexico’s regional priorities and local insights, we develop practical and future-oriented responses at both regional and national levels. Through collaboration with government, industry, research institutions, and local stakeholders, the Blue Horizon Initiative supports Mexico’s water ambitions and contributes to lasting impact for communities, ecosystems, and future generations.
