🎯 The Business of Bidding is a bid writing and bid management company set up to write great bids for clients but also teach them about the whole bidding process and how to start winning bids consistently by improving their strategies. This is a bid writing company with a difference: One of our Founders, Phil Norman, previously worked as a Buyer within Government and the NHS, setting up multimillion pound tenders and has always known that winning public sector contracts is never JUST about writing a good bid. The other Founder, Karl Wellstead, has 25+ years end-to-end business capture experience, gained as a Sales Director, with the likes of Office Depot, Paragon and ICEYE Global as headliners. So we have in-depth knowledge of both the Buyer and the Supplier sides. Too often, suppliers are either unsuccessful, or successful but don’t leverage the opportunities to win further tangible business. Suppliers who go beyond just the formal bid process get the best results. The Business of Bidding aims to fill in the missing link, working with clients regularly to tailor our services to their needs and advising them of strategies to get ahead of the competition, such as researching and getting to know the Buyer. Of course, if you are looking for traditional bid writing or bid management services, we do that too, but if you are looking for more than that, that’s where you will really benefit from speaking to us. Prior to setting up Phil's first business, Bidbetter, he spent 10 years delivering public procurement projects for high profile Government procurement organisations. He realised that some companies were missing out on a great opportunity by not being strategic about bidding and not fully understanding what was required of them. He wanted to practically apply his unique knowledge and simplify the process for suppliers. He has since helped clients win multimillions of pounds worth of contracts and has achieved some of the highest bid win-rates in the industry.
