About The Carpenter's Arms (Midlands) Trust

The Carpenter's Arms supports men challenged by issues with drugs, alcohol or other forms of addiction as well as the accompanying issues of homelessness, financial hardship, sickness, family breakdown and low self-worth. Our residential programme supports the re-integration of our clients into society including though support sessions, group work, employability support and leisure activities. Our staff, trustees, patron and volunteers work hard to create an environment that best facilitates recovery and offers hope; health; a second chance; better relationships; and, should residents choose it, a path to God. Life is complex in a residential addiction recovery charity, and it takes collective effort to ensure our residents overcome addiction. That effort comes from the residents, their families and friends, from our staff, volunteers, local businesses and wider community of supporters. We have three phases to the programme and each phase has its own location: Phase 1: Admission Phase 2: The main programme Phase 3: Move on, carried out in a few 5 bed houses The vision for the Trust is to see broken lives made new through Christ, and the Trust is overtly Christian. We have come to see that Christian principles are intrinsic to recovery from addiction. Whilst no applicants or residents need to be Christian, there is a requirement to respect the Christian ethos.
