About The Cat in the Cream

Home to a world-loved stage, zine library, and famous giant Cat cookies, The Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse has stood since 1975 as Oberlin College's only free admission performance venue. We are a solely student run performance venue in Oberlin, Ohio that prides itself in working to bring student and professional performers from across the world to Oberlin’s campus. Our stage has been home to art forms of all mediums, whether spoken word, theatre, dance, workshops, community events, student activist meetings, amongst many other forms of live performance. We seek to serve the Oberlin community as a space where people of all identities can feel welcome, and where art from across the world can be appreciated and enjoyed.
