About The Charity Evaluation Working Group (ChEW)

The Charity Evaluation Working Group (ChEW) is a community for people working in evaluation and helping charities change the world. We began in 2011 as an informal group of likeminded people who wanted to learn from each other. From that first meeting of six people, ChEW has grown to over 300 MEL practitioners working for charities across the UK. Today, ChEW is owned and run by evaluation practitioners just like you. We are an independent network that offers a place for peer support and learning, sharing challenges and ideas, and shaping the future of evaluation.
