About The Children's Garden Project Canada

The Children’s Garden Project Canada (TCGPC) is a child-centric, volunteer-driven Not-For-Profit Organization. The Children’s Garden Project in Gage Park, Hamilton, Ontario is an imaginative, child-led outdoor experience where children can play, garden, connect with nature and learn about the natural world. It’s created, built, planted, maintained and harvested by children, their families, and our inner city community. It’s a safe, fully accessible, barrier free space; where all children – “gardeners in training” – grow up to become knowledgeable stewards of the land. The TCGPC mandate is to provide FREE educational programming that empowers inner city, under-resourced children, and families to enjoy sustainable gardening practices, to learn the importance of environmental stewardship, and to promote participation and well being within our community.
