About The Climate Box

At The Climate Box, we specialize in hyperlocal climate-risk intelligence for agriculture. We empower growers, agribusinesses, Ag Land investors, farm managers, and insurance companies with science-driven, actionable insights to manage climate risk, optimize planting decisions, and safeguard crop investments. Global Reach: Serving over +3 Million hectares worldwide, including US, Europe, LATAM, Australia, Turkey and North Africa, for crops like almonds, pistachios, avocados, grapes, stone fruits, citrus, berries, olives, walnuts, wheat, forestry and more. 🔬 What We Do — From Microclimates to Macro Decisions • Frost Risk & Chill Hour Assessments — Delivers detailed microclimate assessments based on field monitoring and proprietary computational fluid-dynamics modeling. We calculate cold-air flows and temperature patterns across farms, orchards and vineyards to identify frost-prone zones and chill-hour accumulation with unprecedented precision. • Hyperlocal Forecasting — FrostBox & ChillBox — With our digital forecasting platform, clients receive short-term frost alerts (24–48 h) and weekly chill-hour forecasts, assuring the right timing to activate frost-protection measures and sound blooming and flowering of crops. • Site Selection & Land Acquisition Support — Whether you are evaluating a new property or optimizing an existing farm: our climate-risk assessments inform crop suitability, variety choice, planting layout, and long-term viability of crops based on topography, local microclimates and climate change scenarios. • Tailored Mitigation & Risk Management — Beyond risk assessment, we deliver actionable recommendations: design of passive or active frost protection, optimizing already existing frost protection, strategic planting calendars and accurate hyperlocal climate forecasting.
