About The Do More Agriculture Foundation
Championing Mental Well-being in Canadian Agriculture Founded by farmers, The Do More Agriculture Foundation is driving a cultural shift in agriculture—one where everyone is encouraged, supported, and empowered to take care of their mental well-being. Agriculture is built on resilience, rural roots, hard work and strong community ties. Yet those very strengths can also make it harder to speak up, ask for help, or admit when someone is struggling. Farmers and agricultural workers experience elevated levels of stress, anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion, and burnout — often at higher rates than the general population — due to the unique pressures of agricultural life. We collaborate across the sector to raise awareness, reduce stigma and increase access to mental health supports—ensuring that the people who grow our food are supported in every season. Together, we can cultivate a future where mental health is seen as health, and where no one in agriculture has to struggle alone.
