About The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation Bangladesh

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation Bangladesh is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people through the world’s most prestigious youth achievement programme — The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. Launched in Bangladesh on 20 August 2008 with 12 leading educational institutions and 460 pioneering students, the Award has since inspired more than 39,000 young people from 125 institutions nationwide to discover their potential, build resilience, and prepare for the future. The Foundation is a national initiative of six national and multinational organizations, working in direct coordination with the International Secretariat in the UK. Within a short span of time, Bangladesh achieved the status of National Award Operator, ensuring the programme is delivered to international standards while tailored to local needs. Through Voluntary Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Journeys, the Award equips young people in Bangladesh to find their purpose, pursue their passions, and shape a brighter future.
