About The Elizabeth Rose Foundation

The Elizabeth Rose Foundation aims to help grieving parents protect their relationship after the sudden loss of their child or baby during pregnancy, birth, infancy or childhood, by providing subsidised evidence-based couples therapy. No couple should lose their relationship after losing their child. Losing a child is one of life’s most painful experiences. Sarah & Kaliym were heartbroken when their daughter Elizabeth Rose was stillborn and were shocked to learn couples who lose their child are at greater risk of losing their relationship. In Australia, couples therapy for grieving parents is not funded by the government or the Medicare Better Access Initiative. Not-for-profit organisations typically provide individual peer-based bereavement support services. In her memory, The Elizabeth Rose Foundation was established to provide couples the chance to process their grief together and address their relationship difficulties after the sudden and unexpected loss of their child through subsidised, evidence-based couples therapy. Founded in Brisbane, Australia, in 2023, The Elizabeth Rose Foundation is a registered charity that gratefully accepts donations to help grieving parents protect their relationship after losing their baby or child.
