About The Ellis Edwards Foundation

The Ellis Edwards Foundation exists to bring light into the lives of children and young people who have lost a sibling or parent to cancer. Inspired by the life and legacy of Ellis Edwards, we provide emotional support and practical opportunities to help bereaved children find hope, connection, and strength during their darkest times. What We Do We support bereaved families through a range of free services, including: Respite activities and days out: Giving children a chance to laugh, recharge, and take a break from their grief. Counselling and emotional support: Delivered by professionals who help children and families navigate loss in a safe, supportive environment. Family breaks and shared experiences: Creating space for families to reconnect and rebuild together. Creative community events: Helping children express their feelings and form connections with others who understand. We aim to reduce the long-term mental health risks associated with childhood grief by offering early intervention, community support, and opportunities for joy. Our Approach At The Ellis Edwards Foundation, we believe in: Supporting children from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means. Encouraging healthy emotional development through grief-informed services. Empowering families to be stronger together while coping with unimaginable loss.
