About The Empathy Institute

We're a new initiative exploring how to cultivate empathy on a mass scale and create systems that help us see each other's shared humanity. Our approach: We bridge inner work and systems change because we believe that inner and outer change is equally important. Where we are: Founding phase. We're a small team of researchers, facilitators, and practitioners figuring this out together. We don't have all the answers, but we're gathering people who care deeply about these questions. What we're building: Practical methods for dialogue across difference Training programs for facilitators and practitioners Research on empathy at scale and connection-oriented technology Advocacy for systems that support understanding over polarization What we need: Funding for our first pilots, people to build this with us (researchers, facilitators, technologists, advisors), and fresh perspectives from collaborators who see things we're missing.
