About The English Teacher

The English Teacher provides English language skills training to companies and organisations with overseas staff. Flexible and innovative, we create tailored courses for those who employ a substantial part of their workforce from both inside and outside the EU. We specialise in providing preparation for work based qualifications, UK visas and networking. Specialising in pronunciation, we incorporate this vital skill in all areas of our work from General English, Academic English (e.g. Functional Skills and IELTS preparation), Networking English, Cultural Awareness etc. My personal areas of interest are Pronunciation and Business English. I am able to combine over 20 years of experience working in the public and private sectors with qualifying as a language teacher. After teaching for several years at a local college and gaining further teaching qualifications, I launched my own business - The English Teacher. Whilst providing English for the public sector, e.g. NHS trusts, and the private sector, hotel and restaurant chains, food manufacturers and tech companies, we also run language holidays for families and individuals. Such a wide variety of clients enables us to keep up to date with the latest business innovations and incorporate these into our lessons, providing current and relevant language to our students.
