About The Fourth Effect

The only board marketplace where women have the power to make the first move! The Fourth Effect is a Market Network on a mission to close the gender power, wealth, and funding gap by diversifying boardrooms and cap tables. We focus on startup & advisory boards as a practical way for women to get for-profit board experience vs. focusing on curriculum & credentialing and we connect the dots between board service & investing: Accredited Investor Board candidates can unlock advisory board roles reserved for angels and ‘active’ LPs. We match startups and companies to board-ready women in a trusted, efficient and cost-effective way to disrupt the traditional board search process and overcome systemic barriers that have kept women out of the board candidate pipeline. The Fourth Floor online community and on-demand talent marketplace includes a Board Seat Exchange, Private Investment Club, Job Board and Membership Community. The Fourth Floor, along with approximately 800 ecosystem companies, 1,800+ board-ready women and 100+ angels, LPs and women-led funds, are breaking the systemic barriers that contribute to the inequities in the startup ecosystem and company boardrooms. If you are interested in advancing your board career, investing, or finding advisors, directors or investors, please consider joining us at a Platform Tour, Mondays at 12pm ET to learn more about whether membership is right for you or your company: https://thefourthfloor.co/platform-tours/
