About The Great Canoe Races of Naples

The 46th Annual Great Canoe Races of Naples, happening May 16, 2026 at Baker Park, is a long-standing community event that blends competitive paddling with a lively festival atmosphere. This year features canoe, kayak, and paddleboard races for all skill levels, including fun themed competitions like the “Build Your Vessel” race, alongside live music, food vendors, a beer garden, and a local business vendor fair. With its 2026 theme “Legends of the Gulf,” the event celebrates Gulf Coast culture while supporting the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, making it both a spirited social gathering and a meaningful community fundraiser. What began in 1977 at The Dock as a spirited gathering of locals challenging one another to friendly competition and to celebrate the end of the busy season on our beautiful waterways has become more profound. After a five-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this cherished event is returning as a celebration of community and sport, and as a call to protect our environment. Mark your calendars: The Great Canoe Races of Naples will take place on June 14th at Baker Park, 9 AM-5 PM
