About The Hive Academy

The school is an authorised AP and SAT test centre and maintains small class sizes (maximum 14 students) to ensure a personalised and academically rigorous learning environment. A defining strength of the Hive Academy is its commitment to finding the right level of academic stretch for every student. High expectations are paired with targeted support so that students are consistently challenged without being overwhelmed. The school offers a broad Advanced Placement (AP) programme, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Ore-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, French Culture, Comparative Government, World History, European History, AP Seminar, Psychology, and Human Geography. All courses at the Hive Academy, including electives, are developed as rigorous, structured programmes with clear learning objectives, progression, and assessment. Electives include modern and classical languages, performing and creative arts, and physical education offerings such as Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, drama, public speaking, golf, boxing, fitness, Pilates, piano, guitar, and art. The school’s work is guided by its motto, “Respect for every voice, responsibility for every action. This community builds the future,” and reflects a belief that academic rigour, responsibility, and personal growth must be developed together to prepare students for higher education and independent adult life.
