About The Horse Protection League

The Horse Protection League is a a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, located at the historic Churches Ranch in Arvada, Colorado. We provide a home for horses, donkeys, and mules whose owners have surrendered them, as well as those seized by court orders or humane societies. We provide our horses with a balanced diet, medical and farrier care, training, a social life, and opportunities to graze in open pasture. Our staff and volunteers work with the horses to evaluate, exercise, and train them. Our goal is to find forever homes for all of our horses.
