About The Hub Te Puke

The Hub Te Puke, operated by the EmpowermentNZ Charitable Trust, is a community-led wraparound support centre in the heart of Te Puke, Bay of Plenty. We believe in a hand up, not a handout. Our work is strengths-based, mana-enhancing, and shaped by the real needs of the people and whanau we walk alongside. Our five service areas: Hub Space - A welcoming, inclusive community space in central Te Puke, open to all. Social Work - Qualified social workers providing professional support to individuals and families navigating hardship, crisis, or complex challenges. Food and Resources - A community food rescue operation and food bank that redirects surplus food and essential resources to those who need them most. Education and Mentoring - Programmes building skills, confidence, and connection for people across the community. Advocacy - Walking alongside people to access entitlements, navigate systems, and know their rights. Our team of qualified professionals and volunteers is governed by a committed board of trustees with expertise spanning community development, social services, and governance. If you are a funder, community partner, or someone looking for support, we would love to hear from you. Find us at thehubtepuke.org.nz or visit us in Te Puke.
