About The Information and Heritage Inspectorate
De Inspectie Overheidsinformatie en Erfgoed houdt toezicht op een deel van het Nederlandse erfgoed (archeologie, monumenten, rijkscollectie) en op de overheidsinformatie van de Rijksoverheid. Ook levert de Inspectie een belangrijke bijdrage aan het tegengaan van illegale handel in cultuurgoederen. De Inspectie draagt zo bij aan het behoud en beheer van het nationale erfgoed en toegankelijkheid van de informatiehuishouding van de Rijksoverheid. De Inspectie bepaalt tweejaarlijks wat de prioriteiten voor het toezicht gedurende die periode zijn (zie werkprogramma). En publiceert jaarlijks een ‘verslag over het toezicht’.
