About The Jet City Coalition

Founded in 2020 by community organizer Kevin Murphy, The Jet City Coalition is a first of its kind community organization in the O'Hare Area. "Jet City" runs our two signature programs: Free Shoveling and Free Gardening, to provide free home maintenance services to low income, disabled, and senior neighbors in the towns surrounding O'Hare airport. We also run our yearly "Community Eats" campaign to bring the community together and support 8 Des Plaines restaurants over an 8 week campaign each summer. We've also partnered with local schools to provide alternative forms of discipline and mentorship to at-risk youth in Maine West and D207 High Schools. As we say at Jet City, Community is Built, so we welcome your participation in building the next iteration of the O'Hare area.
