About The Kayak Centre of RI

For 30 years, The Kayak Centre of Rhode Island has been more than a paddlesports retailer — we’re a community built around connection, adventure, and exceptional service. Founded in 1995 in historic Wickford Village, our mission has always been to create a place people love returning to — whether it’s for expert advice, on-water instruction, or a day of fun with friends, family, or coworkers. We offer an unmatched selection of kayaks, paddleboards, and gear, guided tours, rentals, lessons, and customized group experiences. From first-time paddlers to seasoned adventurers, we take pride in helping everyone find the right boat, the right fit, and the right experience. Our knowledgeable team and hands-on approach ensure you leave ready to explore with confidence — not just with new gear, but with a passion for life on the water. Visit us year-round at our flagship store in Wickford or online to experience The Kayak Centre difference. Retail • Rentals • Lessons • Corporate & Group Outings • Events
