About The Loon Foundation

The Loon Foundation has wide-reaching efforts to conserve biodiversity and foster environmental stewardship throughout the Sunshine Coast region, engaging across multiple levels of the community through ecological monitoring with citizen scientists, educational programming, and annual events like the Sunshine Coast BioBlitz. We are proud to own and operate several establishments that help us to carry out our diverse community, scientific, and educational initiatives: the Pacific Ocean Discovery Station (PODS), the Iris & Billy Griffith Nature Centre, The Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve, and the EarthFair Store.
