About The Modern Vic

The Modern Vic is the manifestation of owner and founder, Sarah Stern-Benoit’s, lifetime loves of history, Bay Area architecture, and creating stunning spaces. A Bay Area native, The Modern Vic took root in owner Sarah’s childhood homes. Growing up with parents who actively lived in and restored Bay Area fixer-uppers, she saw for herself the power of transformation. This background became the basis for The Modern Vic’s founding principles. The belief in the potential for remarkable transformation, appreciation for architectural heritage, and the passion for giving clients the hand-held support they need to realize their own beautiful spaces. These values are the driving force behind The Modern Vic. The Modern Vic gives clients the ability to gracefully incorporate their own design voice into their spaces, while honoring the design elements of the house, designing spaces that provide timeless elegance to withstand trends.
