About The Moot Court Society, University Law College

The Moot Court Society of University Law College, Utkal University is a student-led initiative that brings the practice of law to life. We are a community of aspiring advocates who believe that the courtroom is the best classroom. At the Society, students learn by doing. From drafting memorials and sharpening oral advocacy to understanding courtroom etiquette and legal strategy, we focus on building skills that matter in real legal practice. Through internal moots, training sessions, workshops, and interactions with legal professionals, members are encouraged to think critically, argue confidently, and grow ethically. We also take pride in representing our institution at inter-university and national moot court competitions, while ensuring that beginners feel just as welcome as seasoned mooters. Rooted in collaboration, discipline, and academic integrity, the Moot Court Society aims to nurture confident, competent, and socially conscious legal professionals.
