About The MTPT Project

The MTPT Project improves retention, wellbeing, and career progression for parent-educators across the UK. We help educators navigate parenthood without sacrificing their careers — increasing confidence, reducing burnout, and supporting long-term progression from early parenthood through to leadership. Through coaching and peer networks, we strengthen belonging, protect professional identity, and prevent talented educators from leaving the workforce. We support schools to retain skilled staff by embedding practical, family-friendly approaches that improve morale, reduce turnover costs, and create healthier working environments. Our research drives sector-wide change by exposing the impact of the motherhood penalty and influencing policies that protect the health and sustainability of the education workforce.
