About The New York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM)

A training and resource center, serving the urban church since 1984. We train and deploy thousands of leaders to the front lines of New York City, spreading God's love and giving back to the community. For the past 40 years, NYSUM has trained over 50,000 thousand youth and adults in hands on compassion ministry. Our short-term missionaries confront the unique physical and spiritual needs of the city by launching various initiatives and supporting local churches. Visit our website at www.nysum.org to see some of the strategic ways NYSUM equips workers to serve and care for the vulnerable of NYC.
