About The Next Play

As women filmmakers, we're dedicated to telling the story of field hockey shining a light on an often overlooked aspect of girls sports, featuring team dynamics. We're committed to showcasing the competitive spirit, strength, and resilience as well as tackling the pressures young people face today. "THE NEXT PLAY" WILL BE THE FIRST FIELD HOCKEY MOVIE MADE IN THE USA! The story explores themes of friendship, sisterhood, and the challenges faced by a closely-knit, yet competitive, group of athletes. This film will stand out because, beyond its classification as a sports movie, it examines the depths of the individual behind the athlete.
