About The Patient Better Project Inc.

The Patient Better Project Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to make patient health navigation and care coordination education a standard part of every diagnosis. Being told you have a medical condition shouldn’t leave you confused, lost, or unsupported. Every person—regardless of income, background, or health literacy level—deserves a clear path to managing their care. Our initiative, The Patient Better Project, exists to fill that gap. We believe that when someone receives a diagnosis, they should automatically receive the tools and education needed to participate in their care confidently. Through self-guided education, plain-language tools, and system navigation support, we help people move from passive patients to active, prepared participants in their health journey. This isn’t a product—it’s a new public health expectation. We work with policymakers, agencies, and public health leaders to establish this third kind of patient education as a required standard part of care, not an optional extra. Everyone who is diagnosed deserves to understand what comes next. The Patient Better Project is here to make that a reality.
