About The Real Food Cafe

Established in 2005, The Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum is situated on the A82 and West Highland Way, half way between Glasgow and Fort William. The cafe is open all day, 7 days a week and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, great coffee and delicious cakes. Set in some of the most beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer, the cafe offers informal and inclusive dining. We don't take bookings other than for those in wheelchairs. Please be aware that we can get very busy, so you may need to be patient, but it should be worth the wait! Our customers come from all over the world and from down the road! Many are making the most of all that the local environment has to offer and are taking part in exciting activities, events and adventures. We welcome well behaved dogs but there is a 3 bark strike, so they need to be seen and not heard! We pride ourselves on sourcing as much of our produce as possible from Scotland and where this is not possible finding sustainable alternatives. We are proud members of The Scotch Beef Club meaning all our beef is fully traceable and comes from Scottish Farms. We are also members of the MSC blue eco label scheme, signifying that our fish comes from sustainable stocks. We are Coeliac UK, A grade Accredited Caterers for the sale of gluten free food which should give Coeliac's confidence in the safety of our food. Our Fish & Chips are always a popular menu choice because they are delicious! To back this up, we are delighted to be the current National Federation of Fish Fryers Quality Accreditation Champion. When it comes to our hard working team, we are Living Wage employers and offer a great wellbeing & benefits package. We have a positive, can do, culture created through outstanding people working and having worked at the cafe. Over the years, we notched up a fair few awards and accolades including the VisitScotland National Thistle Award for the Best Informal Eatery in 2020 and an entry in the Lonely Planet Guide 2019/2020.
