The Ridges Sanctuary is Wisconsin's oldest nonprofit nature preserve. We protect over 1,700 acres of land in Door County, WI. Well-known for its diversity of wildflowers, including 29 species of native orchids, the Sanctuary also provides critical habitat for other rare species, including the federally-endangered Hines emerald dragonfly.
Founded in 1937 by Albert Fuller, Emma Toft, Jens Jensen and Olivia Traven.
