About The Robert G. Wilmers Integrity Prize

The Robert G. Wilmers Integrity Prize is an annual award given to an individual whose work demonstrates exceptional integrity, leadership, and service to community. The prize supports individuals—not organizations—who are actively working to improve society and whose efforts are grounded in courage, determination, and ethical leadership. One recipient is awarded $50,000, and two finalists each receive $5,000. The Prize is open to individuals working primarily in the United States across a broad range of fields, including the arts, education, environment, law, medicine, nutrition, social justice, and social reform. The Prize is designed for tenacious leaders who are deeply committed to their work but have not yet received significant financial recognition or public acclaim. The Wilmers Integrity Prize is intended to be transformative. We give to individuals for whom $50,000 and recognition would meaningfully accelerate progress and expand impact. Applicants with substantial philanthropic backing or extensive fundraising infrastructure are not the focus of this award. Likewise, this is not a lifetime achievement award; it supports individuals who are well into their work but not yet at the finish line.
