About The Savannah Tribune

The Savannah Tribune is a FREE weekly Wednesday newspaper with over 45,000 print edition readers throughout Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties, plus the thousands of readers across the world who visit our website daily. The original Savannah Tribune, founded in 1875, was the chronicler of contemporary life and activities of Savannah’s African-American community for almost 100 years. Since it was re-established in 1973, The Tribune has challenged the complacency of other newspapers, stimulated a local interest in journalism, and presented a more positive image of the African-Americans in Savannah.
