About The Silicon Valley of Sound - Education Initiative Struer

Uddannelsesinitiativet - the Education Initiative - in Struer brings together educational institutions, companies and students on relevant and practice-oriented educational activities in Struer, related to sound and sound products in a broad sense. Struer is The Silicon Valley of Sound – an international powerhouse for sound, with innovation, entrepreneurship, education and world-class research. We work together in the association 'Education Initiative in Struer' to create a common Danish educational environment for sound, in connection with Struer’s stronghold in the field of sound. Companies, institutions and stakeholders in the area work together to create … • Facilities and frameworks for students to participate in internships, company cases, thesis collaboration, interdisciplinary modules, camps, workshops, etc. • Focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, practice proximity as well as innovation and entrepreneurship. • Shared student housing environment and community for students, interns, project staff and commuting knowledge workers in the Sound Cluster. We collaborate with several Danish universities (including AU, AAU, DTU and DMJX) and facilitate, among other things, summer schools, camps and diploma modules, and we also contribute to matching students with companies for business cases, thesis and internships, etc.
