About The Steedman Law Group, LLC

The Steedman Law Group provides compassionate and experienced legal advocacy for children and adults seeking educational supports, services, and accommodations for learning differences and disabilities, under civil rights laws such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. We assist students and their families with navigating the IEP or 504 process; pursuing appropriate placement and services through mediation, due process hearings, or litigation; appealing the denial of accommodations on admissions/professional licensure testing; enforcing protections against bullying and other forms of discrimination in schools; advocating for accommodations in after-school and extracurricular programs in public facilities; addressing residency, boundary exception, or school transfer issues; and exploring options during transition to adult services, supports, and guardianship. A presenter for Wrightslaw and the Council for Parent Attorneys and Advocates, our senior attorney also provides parent education presentations, as well as new attorney/advocate training and mentorship.
