About The Summer Studio

The Summer Studio is a modern day apprenticeship in creative leadership. Fellows gain a dose of creative rocket fuel while working on real projects alongside professional designers who are also exceptional design professors: The Summer Studio is a boutique design consultancy with a very unique model. From September to May, our PRINCIPAL DESIGNERS teach design at the best universities in the nation. In the summer, we come together to work on complex client projects. Our team is staffed with Design Fellows from a wide range of corporate design studios, and these folks are rising stars in their organizations. Fellows are a multidisciplinary group that are designing and learning in-person alongside their peers from around the country.
