About The Uncommons

Manhattan's first board game cafe! Offering a wide library of locally-sourced coffee, tea, pastries, snacks, and a full menu of soups and sandwiches.. and a huge collection of hundreds of games for play in store or to buy. Operating in the heart of New York, Greenwich Village, our first location is the site of the world-famous former Village Chess Shop. On the NYU campus and a block from Washington Square Park, we offer everything from chess to Scrabble, Settlers and Dominion, and a nice change of pace from the chains.
