About The Unquowa School

Established in 1917, The Unquowa School is a coeducational, independent day school providing a strong academic foundation to children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in northern Fairfield County, CT. The school's mission is "...to develop, educate and prepare our family of children with an unafraid spirit to achieve their personal best in a changing world." Unquowa's progressive pedagogical approach offers a strong traditional academic base while providing the faculty and students the flexibility to explore experiential connections across disciplines and to follow "teachable moments" into individual areas of interest and importance to each class.
