About The Weird Gripper Company

The Weird Gripper Company is a robotics spinout from King’s College London developing a new class of robotic grippers that use controlled tangling to handle delicate, flexible, and entangled materials—where traditional automation fails. Our technology enables robots to grip and release items like herbs, seedlings, textile waste, and netted produce with precision and care. We work with partners in agriculture, horticulture, food packaging, and recycling to unlock automation in tasks still reliant on manual labour. Whether you're a grower, integrator, or automation supplier, we're here to help you grip what others can't. 🔍 Innovating at the edge of robotics and materials science 🤝 Seeking collaborators, early adopters, and investors 🌱 Automating the un-automatable Let’s tangle.
