About The Wichitan

The Wichitan is the official student-run campus newspaper of Midwestern State University, dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and engaging campus news to the MSU Texas community. Since its founding, The Wichitan has served as a platform for aspiring student journalists, editors, and digital creators to hone their skills in writing, editing, online journalism, and digital content creation. We cover the pulse of campus life from academic achievements and student voices to sports, events, and local happenings while training the next generation of media professionals in the evolving world of student media.
