About The Wilbur & Niso Smith Foundation

Our charity (1161513) empowers writers, promotes literacy and advances adventure writing as a genre, working to uplift, inspire and educate. Established in 2015 by the late bestselling adventure writer, Wilbur Smith and his wife, Niso, we are the home of the Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize. Each year, we work with writers and readers of all ages, as well as over 60 reading volunteers, encouraging everyone to have their own adventures through the words on a page. We are building a community of readers and writers where we celebrate the distance and the differences.
