About The Young Creatives Portsmouth & Havant

The Young Creatives Portsmouth & Havant Empowering young voices with creativity At The Young Creatives Portsmouth, we believe in the transformative power of the arts to build confidence, connection, and opportunity. We are a proudly youth-led organisation where young people take ownership of the creative process—from shaping ideas to performing, filming, and facilitating. Our workshops, performances, and creative projects are designed to centre youth voice and foster leadership through drama, storytelling, movement, and digital media. We work across schools, communities, and cultural spaces to ensure inclusive access to the arts, especially for those who may not typically see themselves represented. Founded by Artistic Director Marie Amey, we exist to hold space—not the spotlight—so young people can step forward with courage and creativity. 📍 Based in Portsmouth 🎭Working with children & young people aged 4–21 🤝 Open to collaborations with schools, organisations & creative partners 🔹 Creative Collaborations & Partnerships Our creative collaborations and commissions have included Downtown Pompey, Pamodzi Creatives, Portsmouth Museums, University of Portsmouth BA Film, Filmmaker Jake Graf, People and Stories, Meon Valley Heartstart, Portsmouth City Council, Strong Island, St John’s RC School, and many more schools across the region.
