About Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa - TROT

At TROT we believe that every person can succeed if given the right tools. We work hard to identify each individual's strengths and help them form a plan to capitalize on these strengths so that they may succeed in life. We strive to provide a unique form of therapy which has been shown to work where other types of therapy fail. The unique blend of horse, client and therapist forms a strong basis for the client to take risks and be all they can be. We hope to teach families how to effectively live with and appreciate each diverse member of the family, and use these strengths to create strong family ties. We want to increase healthy self care behaviors through increasing self esteem and encouraging a growth mindset, promote effective stewardship of our home, and further understanding and cohesiveness.
